Karen Lascaris
Karen was born and raised in Neptune, NJ She first realized her love of design while styling outfits for her father, a Jazz
musician. She went on to major in Communications and Design at New York's Pratt Institute.
Karen began her career as an assistant clothing designer on the Polo Ralph Lauren Women’s Design Team, eventually working her way up to the position of Creative Director: Ralph Lauren’s first. Karen got her first taste of high fashion when she was promoted to the Ralph Lauren Women’s Collection line, and was asked to develop ideas with Ralph Lauren’s new Vice President of Accessories, Vera Wang.
When Ralph Lauren decided to build a shoe line, Karen as the first person appointed to the team. She went back to study shoe design at Parson’s School of Design in New York.As a designer, Karen says it takes “instinct, a bit of your own soul and the ability to keep an ear to the ground”. Karen brings this sense of style to Lady’s Day
